LAMBERTVILLE PAINTING SHOW is the first group exhibition of paintings, drawings, and sculptures from artists of the greater Lambertville community. The works of over 30 artists have been selected for exhibition at the historic Hibernia Firehouse on 37 South Main Street, Lambertville NJ.  An opening event is scheduled for September 7th from 6-9 pm; the show will be open weekdays by appointment and weekends from 11-6 pm.

Artists range in experience and age but share the vision of traditional impressionism with contemporary postmodern interests, all reflecting the artist's unique perception of our communities.

The organizers have partnered with a Newtown-based non-profit A Love for Life, which funds pancreatic cancer research. A Love for Life President Christine Edmonds, says, “This is an opportunity to bring the vibrant Lambertville community together and present some very talented artists in a beautifully renovated space.”

“As a medical non-profit, we are also grateful to have a novel way to raise money for research and bring more awareness to the need for funding to help defeat one of the most deadly cancers. We are also thankful for the generosity of the artists participating, for the organizers, and to the public who support the arts.” More information about the charity partner may be found at www.aloveforlife.us.

Hibernia Firehouse, built in 1875, one of the last standing volunteer fire companies in the area, will continue its tradition for community outreach and support. This show is the first foray into what will potentially become an annual event.
